When a customer redeems a pawned firearm:

  1. Verify customer identity
  2. Complete Form 4473
  3. Run NICS background check
  4. Return firearm upon approval
  5. Record disposition in A&D book
Important: Even returning a firearm to its original owner requires a 4473 and NICS check. The firearm was acquired by your business—transferring it back is a disposition that requires the same process as a sale.
