What We Convert
Type-4 to Type-14
ATF requires Type-14 (tagged) fingerprint records. We convert older Type-4 (binary) records automatically.
Compression Format
Ensure fingerprints are properly compressed in WSQ format at 500 ppi as required by ATF specifications.
Segmentation Metadata
Add required fields 14.021, 14.023, and 14.024 for fingerprint segmentation data that ATF validators check.
Transaction Type
Set the correct TOT (FAUF), ORI, and DAI codes for ATF eForms submission.
Frequently Asked Questions
What NIST files can be converted?
We support NIST-ITL 2000 and EBTS formatted files from FBI, state agencies, or other fingerprint services. Files must contain actual fingerprint image data (Type-4 or Type-14 records).
Why does my file need conversion?
ATF eForms has specific requirements: FAUF transaction type, Type-14 fingerprint records with segmentation metadata, and proper agency identifiers. Files from other sources may not meet these requirements.
Is my data stored?
Your file is processed securely and deleted after 7 days. We use encrypted storage and never share your data with third parties.
What if my file is already ATF compliant?
We'll tell you! If your file already meets ATF requirements, we'll let you know and you won't need to convert it.
Don't Have a Digital File?
