New Jersey has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the United States. Most NFA items are completely banned.

Options for NJ Residents

Option 1: Move to Pennsylvania

PA is immediately across the river and has full NFA access. Many NJ residents have made this move.

Option 2: Dual Residency

If you legally reside in both NJ and an NFA-friendly state, you may own items at your other residence. Consult an attorney.

Option 3: Work With What's Legal

Focus on NJ-compliant firearms. Options are limited but exist.

  3. Purchase your first suppressor
  4. Enjoy your new freedom
